A little background:
I started playing poker roughly 2 years ago when I was 17, a Junior in high school. My first ever game was a house game with high school friends 0.10 cent 0.20 cent No Limit house game. I bought in 5 dollars and ran it up to 28 dollars without knowing which direction a rotation went and when to post the small and big blinds. I was immediately intrigued by the possibilities had to offer. After playing cash games with friends for 8 months I decided to deposit 50 dollars onto PartyPoker almost exactly 1 year ago (I remember it was on 5/17, the day before my 18th birthday). Over the next month or two I grinded it up to 298 dollars playing 0.10/0.25 cent NL holdem. Then, I placed third in a $3 dollar re-buy tourney on PartyPoker for $1,100. By the end of last summer, I had almost $2000. I did not know about the twoplustwo.com community at that time and did not know about PokerTracker and PAHUD. I cashed out everything I had to my Vanguard account that my parents gave me for my 18th birthday so I could prepare and focus on my first year in college. In college everything was going well and I had some spare time so I would often play house-games with suitemates. Even though the limits are low (0.25/0.50 NL with 10-20 dollar buyin) I am up about 300 dollars from that this year (Roughly 20-30 buyins from ~12 sessions). I also go to my local casino a lot (Barona Valley Ranch is San Diego) and from the 15 times I have gone I have won 12 times, lost twice, and broke even once. From Barona I am up overall +1470 as of 5/20/07. All this time, I have been depositing all my winnings to my Vanguard account.
The reason why I ask for this stake is because when I play online, I only deposit 100-200 dollars so I can only grind out the low limits such as 0.05/0.10 NL and 0.10/0.25 NL. I have taken a shot at NL100 once and got a bad beat for half my roll (flush < flush). I am almost sure I can beat this limit; however, I never had to resources to have a stable bankroll. I now have PokerTracker and HUD thanks to a 2p2er who sold me the codes for half the price (refer to earlier threads).
It is extremely difficult for me to get money onto poker sites because I ask my friend Andrew to use his ePassporte and then give him the cash IRL. I do not have the resources to deposit myself as I have strict parents who would not approve of this (and I honestly don’t want to do this behind their backs).
I have few stats but not many because I have only recently obtained PT and HUD and PokerGrapher but I, along with my friends who play poker, all know I am a winning player who has never been given an opportunity to grow his roll online.
