Actually, it is. I've been there and done that, and while it feels good for awhile, it is quite unfulfilling (obviously). One of the most disturbing (and life-changing) things told to me when I was 18-19 years old was by a co-worker who said: "Kyle, you don't do anything unless you're excellent at it, do you?"
Initially I thought nothing of it (in fact, I reveled in the quasi-compliment), but after a few days, I realized what a downer that comment really was.
Hopefully Anacardo can take that to heart. And if not, he can go [censored] himself, because I look back at myself 4-6 years ago and see present-day Anacardo and think "What a [censored] idiot."

This is very, very true. There is nothing I hate more than the feeling of incompetence, particularly public incompetence.
