Yeah no way do you make 300k starting. I have friends who work for Goldman and Bear Stearns and I know they don't make that much.

Also, OP have you ever thought of quality of life? The player you are talking about has kids and being able to play at home might be a huge advantage to him rather than working a 60+ hour week on wall st.
