Not to say you don't lead a "normal" life, but I just feel like any poker player tries to rationalize taking money as "oh its only for entertainment for them" I just think this line is pretty lazy mentally, I just don't really agree with it. It may be entertainment for a few people,but the vast majority of the people we win money off of are severely addicted imo. Of course we all try to rationalize it, but that doesn't change it

your looking for reasons to feel bad about it, seriosly. What we do is no different than a bartender serving drinks. Obviosly your gonna serve some alcoholics, some people are gonna drive drunk. But the vast magority are gonna be responsible people having fun, in control of their behavior.

going into a poker room and seeing a room full of addicts is no different than walking into a bar and seeing a room full of alcoholics. Both perceptions are wrong, and both say more about whats going on in your mind than about whats going on in the room.
