Is it fair to ask curtains (and others) how long/how much they knew about Zee and others multi-accounting?

[/ QUOTE ]

No.

Why not?

It's a bit too much to ask of someone to rat out a friend when it could cost them $100k and their reputation. I doubt many of you'd do it.

I agree, it would be very difficult, and I'm not sure I could do it.

I suggest those "in-the-know" should have done something like this:

Post on the MTT forum "FYI, multi-accounting is real and some of the best players are utilizing it", or something similar to that.

At this point, it's water in the bridge with multi-accounting. I suggest it be kept in mind for the future, though. I doubt this is the last time poker and cheating will mix -- and I suspect some here are going to find themselves in similarly tight spots in the future. I'm not saying "ratting out" a friend is the best option -- I'm sure it's very difficult to do.

But there are other ways to sound the alarm without implicating a friend. I question whether or not that happened here, and I think it should have (if it was known this was widespread).
