Default Re: OT: [censored] thread, May, READ RULES IN TOP POST

Alright, so I post here from time to time. Only really talk to a couple of you on aim or pm. I would like to talk to more of you, but I was never really around when most of you played SNG's so it feels like I'm out of the loop.

I think I need some advice. Basically, I have never really been a winner at any games online. I played like 1k sngs, pretty much break even, the rake wins. I've been trying cash games for 2-3 months, but only 10nl online.

I've reloaded probably 7 or 8 times over the 1+ year I have been playing online poker, probably down about 750 bucks. I'm up about 1500 playing at Foxwoods at 200NL over 8 or so visits.

I dont know if it's I am not taking the game seriously playing 10nl online, when I play 200NL live. It might be I am trying to win more than what is realistically possible (8-10 BB/100), and it doesn't feel like I am really winning if I only accomplish .80 cents an hour playing 10NL. It could be I am making a handful of mistakes that I overlook on a daily basis. I try to post and get advice, but the micro forums are a joke.

Should I look to deposit 1k or 2k online and hire a coach? Should I review and study my game and just take a few months off playing online, just sticking to live play? I am completely frustrated that I can't even be a marginal winner at online poker. I see so many new players on here winning instantly, with only a few posts. Maybe its my ADD that is to blame? Maybe because I work 40+ hours a week and go to school full time for past 2 years, and I try to play when Im exhausted? I have no clue. Any advice is appreciated.
