His control was nice, but he didn't really have much of an out pitch working and was relying on the A's to get themselves out (not a bad idea) and his defense to convert outs (a pretty bad idea).

I take it you have MLB extra innings or MLB.TV, considering that Yankees games aren't televised down in Louisiana. Either that or you listened to the radio.
Brown will be fine as a fourth starter, and when Wright gets back in 2 months then the Yankees will really start to tear up the East.
