Yeah...I dunno, when I watched baseball growing up it seemed that one of the roles the long-relief man in the bullpen was supposed to fill was that of spot starts here and there or for a couple of weeks when someone in the rotation got injured. Maybe I'm remembering this incorrectly or maybe I'm not and this is just something that has changed in baseball over the last 10 years or so...
