i know it can kill brain cells

Really, do you feel them dying? Your brain has canabanoid receptors built in. THC interacts with these receptors. Brain cells are not killed. It's an urban legend/old wives tale started in the 30's.

Smoking anything can kill brain cells because you are inhaling smoke and not oxygen. That being said, I'm sure it is insignificant compared to the # killed by alcohol

Right, you kill as many braincells as you would smoking a cig, or camping around a bonfire, it's negligible. But, canabanoid receptors do impede with the short term memory transition to long term memory, hence the short term memory loss. My point is killing brain cells is not an argument for why pot is bad for you.
