Also to elaborate on that point, DN said in an old blog that he would not ''Own'' an online poker room. He was approched by Full Tilt and didn't invest because he fears that online poker would be deemed illegal and all owners might be arrested. Pokeroom.
He has made a good deal from advertisements and outside poker income.
Broke? I doubt it. I don't think he has as much as he might have had at one point but being broke would surprise me a lot.
I agree that DN portray's himself larger than he is though
