1. Two weeks ago she was last of the six remaining contestants.
2. As I explained in a post last week, she stands to gain less votes from the departure of Sanjaya than any of the other five contestants.
3. My interpretation of the DI results last week is that LaKisha and Chris finished well behind the top four.
4. The 80 million votes last week are likely to be about double this week's total. With 2/3 of the votes already cast it will be very hard for anyone to make up ground. The 5th and 6th place finishers last week are virtually the walking dead at this point.
5. LaKisha is very similar to Melinda except less flexible and far less popular. Even if LaKisha miraculously survives the next two weeks it will be extremely difficult for her to get past Melinda. If Melinda loses it will be to someone who offers something completely different.
