Almost every European country prohibits the same drugs we do, and its not like no one is Europe uses drugs. So I don't see how you can say that our drug laws are responsible for the high murder rate.

They do not have zealous enforcement. Go compare the per capital expenses on their drug war to ours.

Additionally, in countries with socialism or high rates of welfare or government funds handed out their is less of a draw to become a drug dealer.
