I think there should be a way you can tag a post as high limit, and then you should be able to set your preferences to see only those tagged posts in this forum. This would seem like a way to help those high level posters without "destroying" the forum.
Unfortunately I'm not at all sure if this is possible.

These ideas are entirely unnecessary, just split the forum and you can look at both if you want. Takes one click.
