Good points. My experience has been with EFTs, didn't realize you guys get 'hosed' for wires.

Do some of the sites pick up the fees?

Don't you get screwed by the e-wallets eventually on withdrawl for currency conversion anyways? Although I realize that moving the money around thru e-wallets won't get multiple conversions, just the one time in and the final out, correct?

To be honest, I haven't used a site for a wire withdrawal, they may pick up some of the fees. I usually use Party to withdraw, as their EFTs are free, and they charge a very reasonable currency exchange. I bounce my money back and forth to and from sites with an eWallet, avoiding any fees, then deposit at Party when they have a bonus, and withdraw via EFT.

As far as eWallets go, C2P makes us go with Canadian $, which is usally a bad thing. However, they actually charge NOTHING on currency exchange to and from sites. So a withdrawal from C2P should avoid currency issues. Still awaiting a couple of trip reports to see what their fees are like on their ATM card, this could be a good option for us. Otherwise, you're right, we'll still get hit with currency exchange fees with an eWallet.

The key for anyone dealing with a native currency other than US $, I think, is not to withdraw from your bankroll unless you "mean it". IE I probably keep a little more money online than I would if I was American, because I don't want to redeposit if I can avoid it...otherwise I'm effectively paying to move the money in and out of my bank account.
