Default Re: *official 2007 red sox thread*

i understand the yankees missed 2 of their best starters, but is that really room for optimism? that their depth sucks? ok, so they were missing posada/matsui and damon for a game, should it be held against the sox that they have guys like cora, hinske, pena and mirabelli instead of scrubs?

its not like wang would've turned the corners, he's got a ~5 era in 40 career innings vs. the sox. i know mussina has decent numbers in his career vs. the sox, but his last 2 years he's had era's of 4.76 and 7.20, its not like these are guaranteed wins they missed.

i'm not sure how you can really put all the blame on the starters, anyways, i know the bullpen is overworked, but i don't have to go through the box score to prove that they got pounded this weekend. the yanks had a lead in all 3 games and couldn't hold it. cheers to the sox.
