wtf is with all the yankee optimism

this month has been a disaster for them

before the season they were probably >60% to win the division and now they're prob like 33%

a 4 game hole is huge, i dont care if the red sox have blown bigger leads before

I hate the Yankees a lot but they are missing most of their starting pitchers. I'm not sure if they will be able to come back but they could.

the yankees have a great team, they've just built themselves a bigger hole than most people are realizing

4 games? Seriously?

yah..last year like at mid season they were 4 or 5 games backa nd still won.

They blew a 5 run lead in the 8th, had a rookie who was rushed off the DL pitch game two vs. Beckett, and had a rookie who had 2 starts in double A and one start in the majors pitch vs Dice K..give up 4 HR's in a row...and yet they still almost won every single game. Matsui was out, Posada was out, Damon was out for 2/3 of the games and they had Doug M/W. Nieves/K Thompson as replacements.
You'd think the Yanks could do better than KThompson and WNieves though...I mean there has to be a better OF than KThompson available.

Yanks are fine especially given both CMW and Moose are back in the rotation in the coming week and Posada and Damon and Matsui will be back also.

They have a 3 game set next week..if they play well this week and get 2/3 the next they could be tied after next weekend. Not likely given the way Boston is playing but still...its a joke to say they are in a hole.
