But what about the local mall? What about the public library? A hospital? Unless you want to live in a police state with armed guards on every corner, this sort of thing will always be with us.

I can guarantee you that if somebody walks into a shopping mall in florida and starts going on a killing spree he won't get very far before an armed citizen takes him out.
