QFT. Actually I agree with pretty much all you said about Imus. He's not interesting or funny. He's basically irrelevant. That said, firing him is insane, and it is evidence that this country is full of overly sensitive wimps.
The Rutgers girls should have said as much in their press conference. "We don't care what he said. He's irrelevant, and no one was listening anyway. "
HOWEVER, if I was Imus (yikes), I would have definitely come prepared to debate Sharpton, who not only has made equivalent or worse comments publicly (many, many times), but who also "made his name" by making up a story about a young black girl being raped by white cops.
Sharpton is by far the bigger scumbag, and that's saying a lot in this case.
