Nothing to do with the way they sound - the point is that they are all great examples of the "beancounter" rock genre. Metallica are right up there with The Monkees & history will not treat them kindly for it.

I don't even know what to say to this... The Monkees were a fake TV band. Metallica was at one point the most popular metal band on the planet. Metallica influenced countless other bands and created some of the most memorable metal songs in history.
