Re: List of eWallets for Canadians
I am in the same boat as some others here in that I play mid-high stakes no limit and make enough that e-wallet deposit limits would not work for me. So as I see it, I have two options and I thought it might be useful to list them concisely for other high-stakes players. FYI, I play on Prima:
Click2Pay
To deposit on a site, you could use a credit card or you could use a wire transfer. There is no limit on wire transfers, although banks will usually charge $25-$30 for them if they are over $1k. Hopefully I would never need to do this.
To withdraw using click2pay, I withdraw directly from the site to my click2pay account. There is no limit. They charge no exchange fees, meaning $1k USD would be worth a full $1156.10 Canadian as of today. To access the funds, I would need to order the debit card for $10, or pay $2 to have them write me a cheque. Pretty low given the funds I am transferring and the amount I was losing to Neteller's exchange fees.
The other option would be forgoing the e-wallets entirely and just cashing out directly from the site by cheque or EFT. I expect, however, I would be gouged on exchange rate by my bank just like Neteller gouged me. Could anyone who has experience with cashing USD cheques confirm this?
