Nice that the Pixies are getting so much love on this thread and I'm sorta surprised that no one has mentioned the Byrds yet.

The Pixies
The Beach Boys
Velvet Underground
Credence
Metallica or Nirvana (pick one)
I'm not real sure that any of those would come close to cracking England's top 5 list.
