Re: Official EPT Monte Carlo thread
agreed completely bigjoe, howevere steve did give some thoughtful analysis that i feel does hold weight, the fact that PA can pull this move with a hand that completely crushes AJ being x% of the weighted range.
however i am in the [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] junglen camp because I too have made my share of ridiculous calls in significant tournaments, and facing that spot, the courage to make that call when you feel like you're ahead shows a lot about one's character and confidence.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, i feel if villain was a random aggressive scandinavian like fredrik holstrup, junglen would have still made the correct decision if it was to call. the fact that villain was patrik antonius only slighted junglen to call more on the basis that patrik is a hyper-aggressive scandinavian who plays in cashgames that are 6 times as big as the tourney buyin, not the fact that he is Patrik "GOD" Antonius, oh-wow-what-if-i-call-and-im-right-that-would-be-aweomse.
