...I'm pretty sure that this flop action was an exception and not the rule of that game.

It was unusual. Here's the action.
Pot pre-flop: $1,700 ($600 big blind, $300 small blind, eight $100 antes).
David Williams raised to $2,00 with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Brad Booth called with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Phil Ivey called with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Jon D'Agostino called in he small blind with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
Pot: $9,400
The flop was: 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
D'Agostino checked. Williams bet $12,000.
Booth folded. Ivey folded after about 12 seconds thought (on TV after Booth folded). Gabe Kaplan has a minor heart attack. D'Agostino folded.
Antonio Esfandiari comments about the new action table. Daniel Negreanu lements about his big fold of 85s which it seems he's never done before.
