I like the trade because i dont need 2 stud catchers and i am not a fan of Capuano. I also felt i needed another closer and this fills that void. Iguchi is an upgrade to the 2b i have now and will allow me to cut Brandon Phillips and get someone else.

well, since pierzynski has no value, you'll still gain by replacing him, just not as much. jones is likely to get squeezed for playing time this year, not to mention how unlikely he is to repeat '06. as for matthews...he will disappoint. protrade pegs his true batting average last year at
.262, and this was by far the best year of his career. at least he is likely to rack up PA if he bats leadoff.
trade seems okay given you're forced to deal mccann anyway. no reason to hate on capuano, though.
