Long-term tradition is prob not on the top of the mind of a typical modern day recruit. However, playing basketball at the University of Kentucky offers:

A chance to compete in one of the toughest conferences against the best competition each and every week


These are just some of the tangible reasons I could come up with off the top of my head a recruit could maybe consider coming to the University of Kentucky to play basketball.
