Kimbell, nice location.

Thank you, sir. I enjoyed your poetry thread in the EDF, though I don't remember posting in it.
I am incredibly nitty when it comes to grammar - not intentionally, I just can't help myself - but if I had to pick one mistake that destroys me more than any other when I hear it, it would be this: when someone tries to seem smart and ends up "correcting" something incorrectly. You know what I mean, I'm sure. "Whom" in the wrong place, "you and I" as an object, whatever. There must be four or five levels on which this causes chaos in my frontal lobe every single time it happens anywhere near me.
I know Daryn and others have said it before, but it's incredibly true: some mistakes are just mistakes, but some can be incredibly good indicators of how much brainpower someone has and what he's spending it on. At least in my experience.
EDIT: GA, I have seen people use "&c." for "et cetera," which I think is pretty cool.
MORE EDIT: Everyone should see Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (the movie my earlier clip is from) - not only is it great and very funny, it also fulfills my lifelong wish to see Val Kilmer correcting people's "bad vs. badly" usage.
