Personally I think some of the guys who "advertise" (like on the 2+2 NL forum) are risky ventures indeed. These are mostly (very) young guys who probably play fairly well (at least aggressively) and probably make money, but don't have a lot of experience and are by no means necessarily excellent teachers.
You will have to do long distance tutoring almost for sure. That isn't too hard, with the internet and telephones. Some of the "big names" that write articles and books also coach, and are probably pretty decent at it. You can do an internet search and look for Bob Ciaffone or other authors from CardPlayer mag who do coaching.
