I could have ran over him... I put it in reverse, and managed to squeeze my car through theirs, so at one point I was facing the main thug with the front of my car.
Problem with running over is not the law (police and citizens love vigilante justice here, and it's usually accepted, since i've hear numerous cases involving people i know who shot criminals etc) but I thought better not provoke them. If there is a slight chance of his friends or relatives seeking future revenge it's way -ev to try and run him over.
