They really have some f'ed up practices though. They put a lot of pressure on other businesses due to their market dominance. Vlasic for example. They pressure Vlassic into producing 1-gallon jars of pickles instead of the smaller variety, and it costs vlassic big time.

Also, they aren't cheap about everything. Just some stuff. My dad, who's doing some physical therapy stuff, needed one of those exercise balls. $10 cheaper at Sears than at Walmart. Walmart blows ass.

If anyone is can't decide whether to like or not like walmart, read the first part of the article linked (in fastcompany) about Vlasic.
The article has all the makings of a ridiculously flawed take-down of walmart.
1. it assumes that there's some benefit to consumers when companies do not compete
2. it blames walmart for a bad decision that one of its suppliers willingly and freely makes
3. it leads the reader to believe that somehow vlasic went bankrupt because of walmart (that seems to be the point of the story) but then it admits that the gallon pickle jar wasn't critical.
Seriously, this article is hideously bad. If you read this and become anti-wal mart you are an idiot. Really.
