Re: Big hand in the sunday millions on stars
Well I am no expert, but I really dont like your play in this hand.
First we have an EP limper who only gets the SB and BB as callers. The flop is very dangerous/drawy and he only min bets. Very weird bet here, that is probably not a very big hand. You call with your heart draw. I am fine with this.
Now the turn comes a heart. SB checks.. you MUST bet this in my opinion. There is absolutely no guarantee that EP is going to bet this card. If he checks behind it is a complete disaster.
You get a little lucky and EP bets. Now the SB cold calls. Time for you to raise it up big and spring the trap. Instead you only raise 400 more, which I absolutely hate. Now people are going to call with basically any heart in their hand.
EP calls and SB pushes. I believe SB can ONLY have the nut flush if he has a flush here. This means he limped in the SB with Ax [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. You need to determine if this player is passive enough to do this. If he has anything less than the nut flush he must raise to protect his made flush on the turn as EP could easily have the A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
Youve played this hand pretty strangely for someone with your holding so it is more difficult to put people on hands. I think I am calling this because the chances he has exactly the nut flush are rather slim and we dont think he would make this move with a flush like T7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
Also, would he really grossly over bet this with the stone cold nuts? I say no. He may have some other big hand that isnt a flush, and doesnt believe you have the flush. He is worried about a lone [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] calling him so he just goes all in.
The more I think about it, the more I am calling this overbet.
