I don't think that Vig went into this as a scam, he just lost some and got caught in the classic "gotta win it back" spiral. Obviously the Ms. Vig account is really her, otherwise she never would have brought it up. So, why would he scam us the whole time then out himself? If anything, Ms. Vig would have come on to ask for more money for additional treatment.

Good intentions, Greed got in the way, Vig is a [censored] and a horrible person for gambling with someone else's money.

I actually DID think it was the most likely scenario but in light of all the evidence I think Vig pulled a double scam. I already posted this but no one seems to have read it. I can't find the links at the moment since I can't remember what post they are from, maybe someone can help me?

In August of 2006, Vig made a psych post claiming he had met some girl, was very happy, etc. Then in December of that same year he was talking about how his baby was walking - more likely, it was HER baby and he was just the mom's current bf. Mrs. Vig probably DOES have cancer, so he told her he would use her image and the baby's image to come here and solicit donations for her cancer. In his mind, he probably decided he was going to gamble with it and give her part of the winnings (he's obviously a degen gambler, not a winning player). She probably knew it was a little bit dishonest but went along with it because she figured she would be getting $$$ for her hospital bills. However, Vig went and blew the money and now she gets nothing - the catch is he was only planning on giving it to her if he was winning with it, so basically we were funding his gambling with a chance of the money going to treat his gf.
