Default Re: Highest Bad Beat Jackpot?

I think the win was at $480k. It was crazy. The wait for a game at Red Rock was over 1 1/2 hours for a table that week. Hit again the next morning, and I was at Texas Station on Sat when it hit again.

I went to GVR for some lunch and play some cards. Called up, got on the list for basically everything up to 10/20 except for 2/4. We got there, and the closest we were was about 60th on any list, on a tuesday about 2pm. This was when it was only in the 300's. Anyways, went to eat, donked around a bit at VP, came back 1.5 hours later and still barely 40th on the list (highest point of any). So my buddy and I said F it and left. That's just stupid. I talked to a few buddies of mine that deal there and they said the games got so insanely tight with people just calling for the flop with a pair and everyone checking everything down that the games were terrible all around. Go figure, typical for badbeat/freeroll chasing games in this town.

I've said it before and now again, freerolls/badeat jackpots create such terrible games because that's the only reason anyone is there, not to actually play poker. Another reason why I stick to the strip for poker like many of you guys here.
