I have nothing significant to add to this thread but I just wanted to know that I hope that everything works out for you.
Regardless of whether you get your money back or not PLEASE press charges against the scammer. I know that it will be an arduous and time consuming process to figure out where the charges can be filed and who has jurisdiction over the issues and I am sure that it will be a bit of a pain to do some of the detective work for officers who do not want to research the theft of $100,000 from a punk kid but please press charges and follow up often and get this scammer jailtime.
