Of all the "kinds of discomfort" that indicate a certain type of ignorance or prejudice that lies at the heart of homophobia, showering naked with a gay man is pretty far down the list. I mean really way down it.

I think ultimately it's not that big of a deal. If it were me, assuming it's a teammate I get along with, it wouldn't bother me as long as it stays platonic. If I were a hate-filled NBA player, I'd look to my salary for comfort. But I still don't think it's unreasonable for anyone to be uncomfortable in that spot.
