My comment came out a little wrong. I did not mean that girls that have casual sex necessarily had a traumatic childhood. I meant it in the opposite way, that traumatic experiences for children tend to lead to more sexually active young women (self esteem issues and such). In a similar way, I see alot of girls on myspace with the same issues (hence they join myspace and get tons of comments about them being hot and whatnot). Our trying to have sex with them has nothign to do with cultural standards of "male" vs "female". It has much more to to with "low self-esteem" vs "the ability to exploit it"

but aren't you basing their "low self esteem" on the fact that they like to be told their hot and have casual sex ? why is it necessarily the girl who is being exploited ? i'm sure these girls know what they're doing. if a guy wants to think he's exploiting a girl that is posting slutty pics of herself online and hooking up with random guys, then he's stupid. maybe the girl just likes when guys swoon her with myspace comments and hook up. maybe they are the ones taking advantage of the situation. you can't really blame someone for liking attention that people are so willing to give.
