Part of that is the women play with a lighter (hence, smaller) ball. Obviously, it has to be lighter for the difference in upper body strength.

I'm sure if you engineered a ball that weighed the same but had the same dimensions as a men's ball, their shooting percentages would plummet--if you did a direct man to woman comparison, the man would be the better shooter.
