Default Re: prima withdrawals

NesOne - Not sure about which side the $5K Ecocard limit is. I never thought about it because that's a bit bigger than my standard withdrawals.

Haji - Yes, I have received a wire from Ecocard. Just be aware if you are only doing $1K the fees get a little steep. I realized this when I did $1K as a test run. Eco charges $10 to send a wire. My bank charged me $10 for an incoming wire. And there was an additional $20 taken out by a correspondent bank along the way which I wasn't aware of, and which Ecocard says they can't list as a standard fee (they don't collect this) because depending on what country a wire is sent to it may go through one or more correspondent banks that each take a fee. Shouldn't be more than $20 though going to a major US bank from Eco. So it was a total of $40 fee. Steep for a $1K x-fer, not too bad for $3K+, especially when you consider that courier charges for most sites that still will courier a check are usually around $30 anyway.

Spatne - I thought all Prima sites had the same options, but I guess not.

Iceman - Maybe that's my bad on the branch code. Thought it was mandatory. Regardless, I asked my bank what a branch code was and they told me it was the same as my ABA routing number so I just put it in the field.
