He was MVP his first 8 years in the NHL, then won one more.
Pretty amazing. Even if oneone argues that Jordan deserved more MVPs than he actually won, I still don't think you can get to 9 and certainly not his first 9 years in the league.
Tiger Woods has been PGA Player of the Year 7 times, but they weren't consecutive.
