It's not as much the Jury thinking the cop is innocent as it is the Jury thinking the cop didn't deserve charges the prosecutor threw at him (which is very nearly just as bad considering the charges: sexual penetration by foreign object by threatening to use the authority of a public official, sexual battery, sexual battery by restraint)

From what i can gather from people that have lived, or still live in the area: middle-low class citizens, strippers and the poor are more or less considered trash, and the police serve to keep the status quo for the very abundant rich folks in the OC.

I wish the cop got even just 1 year in prison, because a cop in prison might as well have a massive, coke-laced target on his ass.
