Re: jaime gold = spew

Gold loves the A-rag a lot, I see. It's painful to watch him on tv. I know he's going to lose, and feel sorry for him. He's a WSOP champion, and he gets no respect. Kudos.

He shouldn't be accorded respect in a high stakes cash game, against some of the best players just because he won a super large tourney. The 2 have no meaning to each other. Note how Gold played this week. It was almost like he forgot where he was and thought he was back in a tourney again. Giving 9k action with a KJo. Going all in pre flop with AA. Playing every A rag and worse than that, betting out on them as if he had a large stack that would intimidate his opponents. Pathetic poker. Truly.
As far as the discussion on whther he was obligated to show his bluffs first: No. As those of us who play cash games have stated this is standard poker 101. When you get caught bluffing, you can simply say "you got it". If your opponent hesitates like he was calling you down with a weak hand (especially if there is a chance that it will be a tie) then you table them. Standard live poker.
