think it might have been better to reraise him pf (the KK hand)? And folding to that river bet on that AJ board might be good, although i'm not really faulting you for not. His bet looks too much like a value please call me, on a very scary board where TP doesn't win as much anymore.
I see it like you charged him to draw, which is what it looks like what he was doing when you recall his action, so don't pay him off when he hits. You could still also be losing to alot of two pairs. Basically he called a big bet in a big pot on the turn in the face of an Ace, which means he's trying to play a big hand, bigger than any pair (he's not scared of the ace). This is also considering he limped utg PF and called the whole way. If he limped a strong hand like KK or big overs he probably would have done more on the flop, especially one like that. So on that kind of a low drawy board the odds that it hit him harder than you is high. It's possible you win this much less than 20% of the time.
Perhaps betting the river and folding to a raise is better than calling in this instance if you're gonna call a thin value bet anyway, to weed out those who will try to bluff like this with their missed straight draw in the long run. You can bet lighter if you think you'd call light, like say 3 instead of 4, and fold with more confidence to a raise. Not sure about this though, I guess a missed straight draw could just go all in on a weak bet in a scary board and you wouldn't be able to call.
