obviously half of that is me just pissed off, on baseball tilt. but there have been some huge mistakes in terms of contracts and aquisitions. i also thought this year would be much better than it has been, and will still be a good year. but look at our pitching staff: 1,2,3 are good, 4 and 5 are a complete and utter (20 million dollar) mess. And our bullpen is terrible. terrible. it seems to be like a poorly built team. we have no depth off the bench (sierra is great, but who else?), and absolutely no bullpen. meanwhile we pass up lieber's relatively cheap option to go for a young perpetually injured pitcher with one good year. especially after the postseason leiber had. and our bullpen sucks. i still have faith in mariano, i still think he will be great but in terms of gordon, rodriguez, quantrill... i have no faith. It just seems like an incomplete team, we have 5 great sluggers, 3 good pitchers, and a closer.

2 awful pitchers, no 6th starter (maybe tanyon), and no 6-8th inning pitching.
