TertraFlare: Player B can't stand up and sit back to the left of player A because there is no seat available to the left of player A.

TWP: Are you saying the only reason why you wouldn't do this is if player B can counteract? If so you just took the ethics part out of the question.

in general, i think there is no ethical problem with changing seats. obv hu it doesnt make any sense. and 4-10 handed, i dont see any problems with it. maybe people would disagree 4-handed, i dont know, but i've seen other people say the same thing, so it seems to be fairly standard. but 3-handed, i wouldn't do it. the reason is two-fold. one, it is impractical. 3-handed, everyone can just keep jumping around and it will just become insane unless someone mans up and stops moving. and that leads to the second reason. since it could just go on forever, there is a decent chance that the person you move to get position on will not move. not because he doesnt want to, but because he thinks it's wrong or impractical to mvoe 3-handed. so that makes it unethical for you to move, since you're basically just taking advantage of the fact that he's being more mature about it than you are or whatever. so yea. i move 4-handed+ but not three-handed.
