I'm still unsure about the effectiveness of the inside? line. My situation is unique though. I just moved to a small, very boring town. I like to tell them I'm new to the area (this gets the point across that I'm looking to meet new people, but not because I'm some desperate loser, but because I don't know anyone around here yet). I tell them that this place sucks and I'm getting tired of driving 200 miles to Atlanta to find something to do (99% of the girls who live here would agree that this place does suck, driving to ATL is a lie but Ive considered it before, so it's believeable and should spark interest. It will associate me with leaving outside of this small town, which everyone wants to do.) Then I finish it with the open ended question of what is there to do around here? Actually I put this before the part about ATL cause it flows better there, but that doesn't matter. Expected response is "not a whole lot", which will leave me with an opening to lead into what I want to do around here. I think this approach also compliments my profile because I state that I like to travel and I'm not from the area. Comments? Would anyone still prefer "inside?" in my situation? I'm 1/1 so far on responses (I sent out more than 1, but there were only like 3 people "online" last night and none of them were eligible for my attention, so far the others I've sent have not been read yet). I'll post updates as they come.
