Rings aren't that important in judging who is great. Thing is that guys with rings had chances to showcase themselves, while great QB's on bad teams never get seen. Let's say Peyton played in Detroit. He would be good enough to maybe get them to .500? Maybe sneak into the playoffs, just to lose in the first round? Anyone who brings up rings to identify greatness only does so because they don't have enough info to make an informed decision. Even stats don't make a star. Declaring someone great is a qualitative exercise, not a qunatitative one, especially in football.
