thundercat,

just because you have the best hand, doesn't mean you should check it. In fact it's quite the opposite. Raising disguises your hand better than checking here. Its like saying, oh, I've got AA preflop, I dont want to raise, they might all fold. By check/calling on this flop, you're going to win an extra bet from a bluff and thats it. By leading out the flop, you're going to win a BIG pot from another ace, or true, they might just fold. But if they were going to fold to a lead, you're not going to win a big pot however you play it
