Default Re: Not wanting to go to sleep

microbet- I don't believe that I said my pops didn't have a TV. But he didn't have video games or the internet but television wasn't a huge deal in his household growing up, there wasn't a thousand channels and everything that moved wasn't covered. Today we are tuned to everything that everyone does, when our parents grew up TV was just a form of entertainment, a tool to escape from the real world until the news came on. Today it isn't only an escape but a dive back into the real world and we sit like zombies in front of it hoping to not miss any of it.

My father's hobbies are hunting, running, and sports of all kinds. This is what he did as a kid and it was b/c he was never in his room whereas kids today are never not in their room. I drive down neighborhoods and am surprised when I see kids throwing a football in the street. It is understandable though when a kid has every toy imaginable within four walls to think he would want to leave or be motivated to try something different. I am not a hunter and I find it strange but I also grew up with much more to do than my father did, hunting was a way to keep him occupied and it has stuck with him. Different generations is all and that is all that I was pointing out.
