Re: Not wanting to go to sleep
I'm in the club too. I have a regular 9-5 job, but routinely stay up until 3 or 4 in the morning. Doing absolutely nothing. It causes problems with the fiancee too. She goes to bed fairly early (9-10PMish), so she accepts the fact that I'm not always going to go to bed at the same time as her. But every night I don't go to bed with her, I'll say something like "I'll be in bed around midnight". And I have every intention in the world of doing so. Next thing I know, it's 3:00 in the morning, I have to wake up in less than four hours, and she yells out "Are you EVER coming to bed?" "Yeah, honey, I'll be right there - I fell asleep on the couch again..." I really don't fall asleep on the couch, but she gets pissed when I only sleep for like two hours before work, so I use that line often. "Why did you lie to me and say you were going to be in bed at midnight??" What she doesn't understand is that I really 100% fully intended to be in bed with her at midnight, but I got sucked into poker or some message board or a Yahoo game or whatever and somethings just not letting me go to bed. I don't know how to change this habit.
She went out of town to visit a friend this past weekend, so I had the place to myself. I went to work on Friday, got home that afternoon/evening, and didn't go to bed til around midnight Saturday. I was up for about 40 straight hours. For absolutely no reason. *Shrug*
This thread does make me feel a little more normal though.
