If I think the Jets have a 20% chance of winning then 4-1 would be the perfectly correct odds, no? If you go to my high end of 25% then I'm getting a slightly profitable bet. I hardly see why that would be something I couldn't pass up.

Because at halftime people were offering you much better than 4 to 1, and then you said you'd only take 4 to 1 when the Jets HAVE THE BALL AND ARE TIED OR WINNING.
