Default Re: Chiefs vs Colts Thread

[ QUOTE ]
The Chiefs have Jared Allen but that's it. According to FO, they're ranked 28th in Adjusted Sack Rate, which adjusts for teams played and the number of passes they've faced.

Wow, someone knows about FO? I'm proud.

Anyway, the Colts were never as good as they looked during that 8-0 or whatever stretch they started the season on. Similarly, their recent losses doesn't mean they fail. They are what they are: a terribly flawed team with a horrendous run defense and special teams, but one of the best offenses in history.

The Chiefs have a chance, but it hinges on Trent Green. If he doesn't slice up Indy, it will be tough for the Chiefs to consistently put up points, which they will need to do. Green's numbers are horrible since he returned, and while a major part of that was his competition -- he had a brutal schedule -- the benching of Damon Huard still looks quite silly. The Chiefs are going to do what every team does vs Indy: run them to death and steal some of their possessions. Less possessions = random bounces of balls can help an inferior team beat a better team. That's what will have to happen for the Chiefs.
